St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School has been named a Newman Guide Recommended school by the Cardinal Newman Society, recognizing its commitment to faithful Catholic education and academic excellence. The Newman Guide identifies schools that integrate the Catholic faith authentically across every subject and form students in mind, body, and soul. We thank the dedicated teachers, families, and clergy who make Aquinas a beacon of Catholic education in our diocese, and we celebrate this honor as a gift to our parish community.

Dear Parishioners,

Happy Easter! Happy fifth Sunday of Easter! I have great news to share with you today.

St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School has received the Cardinal Newman Society recognition. This means that the school is now listed in the Newman Guide as a recommended school.

The Cardinal Newman Society recommends K–12 schools committed to upholding standards of faithful Catholic education. The Society’s policy and curriculum standards are derived from guidance via Church councils, popes, Vatican congregations, bishops conferences, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other Church documents. This recognition affirms that the school is academically strong and sound.

Holding our school out as an exemplar of faithful Catholic education, our recognition status publicly affirms our commitment to the five Principles of Catholic Identity in Education, the Catholic Curriculum Standards, and the Cardinal Newman Policy Standards.

As a Newman Guide Recommended school, we affirm that our administration and faculty are aware of and committed to the recognition requirements detailed below:

  1. Catholic Education is inspired by and rooted in the divine, salvific mission of the Catholic Church.
  2. Catholic Education models the Christian communion and Catholic identity.
  3. Catholic Education teaches students to encounter Christ in prayer, Scripture and Sacrament.
  4. Catholic Education integrally forms students as physical, intellectual and spiritual beings called to perfect humanity in the fullness of Christ.
  5. Catholic Education imparts a “Christian vision of the world, of life, of culture and of history,” by ordering the whole of human culture to the news of salvation.

If you have elementary school age children, please consider enrolling them in Aquinas. It is an intentional investment in their future and your family life.

May the Lord bless your family with a deep sense of Easter joy!
